Constraint Overview
A constraint is a spatial, temporal, or root relation between any two components.
Spatial Constraints
These constraints describe the spatial relationship or extrinsics between two components.
Temporal Constraints
These constraints describe the temporal relationship between two components. Synchronization of both clocks and observations between components is handled by temporal constraints.
Root Component Constraints
These purely symbolic constraints act as a way to parse abstract relationships between components. They come in handy for grouping components by their common hardware package, location, or function on a system.
