Organization Management
Organizations are groups of users that share licenses and billing information. MetriCal is managed at the organization level.
Joining an Organization
If you are new to MetriCal and your organization already uses the Tangram Vision Hub, you will need to join your organization by invitation. Ask your organization’s admin to send you an invite to join.
If you are the first person to sign up for MetriCal, a new organization is automatically created for you on the Tangram Vision Hub upon signup. Create an account on the Tangram Vision Hub to get started. The rest of this guide will walk you through managing an organization in the Hub.
Should you ever wish to leave the organization, contact your admin to request that they remove you from the organization.
Invite Errors
Certain situations may cause issues when accepting an invite. If you see an error page instead of the "Accept Invite" page, please check the following:
- Your invite may have expired or been revoked. Please contact your organization admin for a new invite.
- You already redeemed this invite. Please check the organization page in the Hub to confirm that you are in the organization that you expect.
- You signed into the Hub with a different email address than was invited. Please log out and follow the "View your Tangram Vision Hub Invite" link from the invite email again, signing in with the email address that was invited.
Naming Your Organization
You can edit your organization’s name by going to the Organization Overview page and navigating to the Organization Settings.
Inviting Members
New members can be invited to join your organization by going to the Organization -> Invites tab.
Enter the email address of the new organization member that you would like to invite. Select their role. Then press the "Send Invite Email" button to send an invitation to the new organization member.
Unredeemed invites expire after 7 days. You can always resend an invitation if it hasn’t been redeemed.
Assigning Roles
There are two available roles in the Tangram Vision Hub: Admin and Member.

Member Management
If you are an organization admin, there are two controls available to manage organization members.
Assigning Roles
You can change the current role of a member in the Organization -> Members tab. Each organization member has an assigned role that can be changed by selecting the dropdown on their current role. Once you have changed the role in the dropdown menu, that change is automatically saved.
You aren’t allowed to downgrade yourself from admin to member, to prevent an organization from becoming admin-less. If you want to be downgraded, ask another admin to demote you.
Removing Members
You can also remove a member entirely from the Organization -> Members tab. Simply click "Remove" on their user card. A dialogue will appear asking you to confirm this decision. Click "OK" to proceed with removing the user from the organization, or "Cancel" to cancel the action.
When you remove a member from your organization, you will also remove their personal licenses to use the Tangram Vision software. If you have infrastructure or processes that depend on the member’s personal licenses, they will no longer pass license checks. Please make sure that you want to perform this action before you proceed.
